ERASMUS NEWS IN ENGLISH

Last week, between the 28th and the 30th of September 2 teachers from our school, Ilias Loukas & Ilias Sveronis, had the pleasure of participating in the 1st LTTA of the project «ENGAGE- Enhancing teachiNG And learninG English in a digitalized world», in Malta. In this project our school is the coordinator. The participants were educated in Content and Language Integrated Learning (CLIL), which is an approach where students learn a subject and a second language at the same time. This is the question that guided our 10 participants during the course “Soft Skills and emotional intelligence for teacher and educational staff”, which took place from 04/07 to 10/07 in Puerto de la Cruz, in the amazing island of Tenerife, one of the Canary Islands. After a long journey to arrive there from all over Europe, the participants had the opportunity to meet each others: Susanne, Cornelia and Juliane from a secondary school in Austria, Tsvetomira and Teodora from a kindergarden in Bulgaria, Ilias, Georgios, Ilias and Aikaterini from an evening secondary school in Greece, and Anna from a secondary school [.......]

Εsperino Gymnasium-L.T. Karditsa participates as a sending partner in the Erasmus+ KA101 staff learning mobility project entitled "Emotional intelligence and soft skills for the integration of minorities, migrants and refugees in European schools" and project code 2020-1-EL01-KA101-077919. As part of the project, four (4) teachers of the school (Ilias Loukas, Aikaterini Alexiou, Georgios Tsiardakas and Ilias Sveronis) participated in a training seminar in Tenerife, Spain, from 03 to 10 July 2021. Τ he 1st Newletter of our project is now releashed!According to the European Union, the increased mobility between EU countries and the rising number of third country migrants and refugees coming to the EU in recent years have contributed to greater (linguistic) diversity in European classrooms. Multilingual schools are not a new feature of Europe’s diverse and complex linguistic landscape.This project promotes foreign language literacy with the use of ICT and improve the target groups’  language skills. T he 1st TPM of ENGAGE project was held on Friday, February 5, 2021. During the meeting partners from Greece, UK, Malta, Italy and Portugal had the opportunity to discuss about the project activities, share tasks and plan the next steps.ENGAGE project aims to modernize teaching practices through updating/upgrading teachers’ knowledge and skills. We are very pleased to announce that another Erasmus+ KA2 project in which E-SCHOOL EDUCATIONAL GROUP participates as a partner was approved by the GREEK National Agency.
