Τhis program concerns a week-long educational visit of 4 teachers (beneficiaries) of the Evening High School – LT. Karditsa (sending organization), a seminar entitled “INTEGRATION AND MULTICULTURALITY” organized by the educational organization Pričalica (host partner) in Pointe-a-Pitre, Guadeloupe (France) with the aim of training them in matters relating to education.
The following necessities are thus highlighted:
* acquisition of knowledge, skills and attitudes regarding the integration of minorities, immigrants and refugees in school,
* Development of communication, collaboration, presentation, problem-solving, negotiation, criticism and creative thinking skills.
* acquisition of knowledge of teamwork and team management, conflict management, public speaking and communication through specific practical courses.
* Exchange of experiences and know-how
* Improving language skills.
The aim of this proposal is to train participants in issues related to integration and multiculturalism in the EP with the aim of improving their intercultural skills and learning interactive methods and techniques for the integration of students from different cultures. The specific objectives of the program are:
- Development of participants’ knowledge and skills to facilitate the understanding of identity and conflict and analysis of diversity.
- Learning techniques and approaches to divert focus on identifying differences in achieving a common goal.
- Promoting intercultural awareness.
- Improving the understanding of the senses, emotions and thoughts through individual and collective perceptions.
- Participants share experiences with colleagues from different organizations
- Upgrading teaching and pedagogical practices, promoting innovation
The duration of the flow will be from 14/1/2022 to 19/1/2022 at the educational organization Pričalica in Pointe-a-Pitre, France in order to attend a training seminar of 7 days (35 hours).
The thematic units of the seminar are the following:
- Introduction of the participants, outline of the program, acquaintance of the participants, “breaking the ice”
- Multiculturalism, identity, conflict
- Introduction to the Theater of oppressed methods.
- Practical workshop for creating interactive digital storytelling scenarios
- Group and networking activities with cultural travel
- Art and game-based activities that enhance team dynamics
- Online tools for collaboration on integration-oriented projects, eTwinning, School Education Gateway
- Presentation of results, discussion, evaluation and final session

The expected results from the participation of the beneficiaries in the specific project will be:
* Promoting the intercultural awareness of the participants.
* Promoting the Boal methodology as a tool for conflict resolution in schools
* Facilitate the understanding of identity and conflict and analyze the diversity of its forms.
* Learning techniques and approaches to divert focus from identifying differences in achieving a common goal.
* Improving the understanding of the senses, emotions and thoughts through individual and collective perceptions.
* Facilitate the comparison of individual perceptions to form a deeper collective perception.
* Learning games, exercises and techniques to enhance the ability to dialogue, tolerance and cooperation.
* Development of communication, collaboration, presentation, problem-solving, negotiation, criticism and creative thinking skills.
